About our Dyslexia Tutoring and Therapy Services
I started my journey to become a CALT when both of my boys were diagnosed with profound dyslexia. We quickly discovered traditional school methods for learning to read, write and spell were not beneficial for the way they needed to learn. It was up to me to be their champion and advocate. I had to educate myself on how to teach and tutor them in the way their unique, intelligent brains needed to learn.

For over 18 years as an experienced Certified Academic Language Therapist, I have been providing therapy and prescriptive intervention tutoring with fidelity to children, teens, and young adults. By using the Orton-Gillingham Approach, I can provide research-validated intervention to struggling readers and writers by focusing on their individual strengths and unique way of learning. This type of discovery learning is fun and exciting!

I'm happy and proud to announce my boys on the other end of this journey are doing wonderful. My oldest is an aspiring filmmaker and screenwriter in college. My youngest is playing college basketball and pursuing an MBA. The multitude of other students I have had the privilege to work with are thriving and successful in great part to their perseverant spirit and having the opportunity to learn in a way they needed to be taught that suited their individual needs.
